July 29, 2008 —  Orth-Rodgers & Associates Presents Concept Plans for PIDC El Centro De Oro Corridor Project

On Tuesday, July 29th, Orth-Rodgers & Associates project team members presented preliminary concept plans to the community at an Open House Public Workshop for the El Centro De Oro project. The project will be a revitalization effort for the community along 5th Street between Huntingdon Avenue, north to Allegheny Avenue.

The workshop was held at the Taller Puertorriqueno Education Building. Displays included a project schedule, concept plans for the 5th Street Corridor, and samples of materials which will be used during the construction phase of the project.

In cooperation with the Philadelphia Industrial Development Cooperation (PIDC), the Hispanic Association of Contractors and Enterprises (HACE) has been actively working on a new vision for the City’s Hispanic business District known as “El Centro De Oro”.

Through a bond funded by the City of Philadelphia, Orth-Rodgers & Associates was retained to prepare concept plans and construction plans for this exciting new vision of El Centro De Oro.
