The qualified candidate must have a minimum of 10 years experience in PENNDOT bridge design, including preparation of design calculations, final plans, and specifications. The candidate must have a working knowledge of PENNDOT and AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications and Standards. Knowledge of PENNDOT bridge design software is also required. A Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university along with licensure as a Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania is required. The candidate should also have strong technical writing, organizational and problem solving skills with the ability to work independently.
