Environmental Scientist
Orth-Rodgers is seeking an Environmental Scientist for our Mechanicsburg Office. The qualified candidate must have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in the natural resource field including wetland identification/delineation and functional assessments; preparation of NEPA documents; threatened/endangered species field assessments; preparation of permit applications; and completion of Phase I ESAs. The candidate should also have strong technical writing, organizational and problem solving skills with the ability to work independently. A working knowledge of the PennDOT CE Expert System and the JPA2 System is a plus. Bachelor’s degree in biology, geology, environmental science, or related field from an accredited four-year college or university is required. Bridge Engineer
ORA is currently seeking an experienced Bridge Engineer for our Pittsburgh Office. The qualified candidate must have a minimum of 10 years experience in PENNDOT bridge design, including preparation of design calculations, final plans, and specifications. The candidate must have a working knowledge of PENNDOT and AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications and Standards. Knowledge of PENNDOT bridge design software is also required. A Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university along with licensure as a Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania is required. NBIS bridge inspection experience and certification a bonus. Position presents an outstanding growth opportunity for the right candidate.
