Highway Designer
Orth-Rodgers is seeking Highway Designer for our West Trenton Office to work on all types of highway projects. The qualified candidate must have at least 2 to 5 years of experience in the preparation of roadway plans for NJDOT, County and NJDOT major access permit projects. The ideal candidate possesses working knowledge of highway geometrics, drainage design, and traffic operations. Microstation experience is required. InRoads and drainage software experience is desirable. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university is required. Assistant Highway Project Engineer
ORA is currently seeking an Assistant Highway Project Engineer for our Great Valley Office. The qualified candidate must have at least 6 years of experience in PennDOT and/or PA Turnpike highway design.  Experience includes all facets of a highway design project from preliminary studies to Final Design including but not limited to roadway geometrics, stormwater management and drainage design, traffic control plans, signing and pavement marking plans, PS&E package preparation, and utility coordination.  Traffic signal design experience is a plus.  The ideal candidate possesses strong verbal and written communications skills, and has demonstrated the ability to be a task leader on highway design projects, including supervision of staff.  Microstation and InRoads skills are a must. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university is required. ORA is currently seeking a Structural Project Engineer for our Mechanicsburg Office. The qualified candidate must be a registered professional engineer in the state of Pennsylvania, and have 7 to 12 years of experience in PennDOT and PA Turnpike bridge and related structure design. Experience includes all facets of a bridge design project including LRFD steel and concrete design, PennDOT Design Programs including BRADD 3 and PennDOT based plan development.  The ideal candidate possesses strong verbal and written communications skills, and has demonstrated the ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously. Microstation skills are a must. Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university is required.  H&H and NBIS experience are a plus.  Excellent work environment, outstanding compensation and benefits package.
